What do you get?

A bespoke plan and schedule of SEO work for you WordPress site, designed around the objectives you choose.

As every business is different, a one-size-fits-all approach to SEO simply does not work for the majority of businesses.

Our service is initially based on research and planning to devise an appropriate and realistic strategy for your business and website.

Any idiot can write a load of blogs and get a site ranking for low-value, non-converting keywords, so we don’t do that.

Instead, we work with you to identify commercial-intent keywords to bring you new business enquiries, not empty traffic.

Step-by-step SEO service

An initial site audit.

Pro SEOs love a site audit, as it provides a benchmark for your site’s performance today and shows improvements over time.

A site audit includes speed scores, a WordPress install audit, hosting, keywords, backlinks and so on.

A front-end review.

Does your site say what it needs to say? Does the site structure make sense? Is the UX and design as good as it can be?

This review goes through your site as a user would and reports on all the things that need improving.

A business discussion.

This is where we get to the bottom of what you want to accomplish from your SEO campaign and what success looks like.

This sets out the campaign’s challenge and provides the foundation for the correct SEO approach for your website.

A full plan of action.

A detailed plan of action for the site comes from the discussion with deliverables, schedules and explanations.

This forms the plan for the initial three months of your SEO campaign.

The first month.

The scope of work in the first month of any SEO campaign is addressing any issues on your current site to ensure your SEO will be effective.

You can’t dive into SEO if your site has errors, is slow or has a poor URL structure as this simply makes any SEO campaign less effective.

Monthly deliverables.

Once the site is as good as possible, the SEO work starts, and we deliver what was set out in the SEO plan.

We’ll do the work, keep you updated and provide you with monthly reports that demonstrate what’s been done and what’s improved.

Rinse and repeat.

All SEO campaigns run for an initial three-month period. This initial stage of the project is used to implement the plan and to measure and report on the results.

SEOs all agree that three months in the absolute minimum time period to see positive results.

Refine and revisit.

After the initial three-month period, we reviewed everything: the plan, the keywords, and the results.

Based on the findings, we review the SEO plan and evolve it as required.

SEO is never set-and-forget, so this three-month cycle rolls as we improve your SEO.

You need more than SEO for effective SEO.

SEO isn’t just tinkering around with copy and links on pages, it takes in design and UX, technical optimization, copywriting, copy editing, development experience and more.

One of the things that differentiates us from many WordPress SEO agencies is that we have all these skillsets in-house.

Our team is made up of SEO experts, copywriters, designers, developers, and strategists. It forms the exact mix of people that you need to deliver an effective SEO campaign under one roof.

All our staff are fully employed, and we don’t use freelancers or off-shore work, so you can be confident we can deliver everything you need.

In-house SEO support services

Design & UX.

Our in-house design team works across branding, web design, UX, print design (think Whitepaper downloads), icons, infographics, social media graphics and every other design niche you may need.

We’ve eight BA Hons qualified designers in the building with all the experience you need to get the creative spot-on.

Development.

With an eight-strong developer team, we do all WordPress development in-house, from building bespoke WP themes to af-hoc fixes, site improvements and technical optimisation; all this work is completed in-house and on time.

The last thing you want is your SEO experts outsourcing WordPress development to an unknown third party: you don’t get that with us.

Copywriting.

The design makes things look great, but clever copy converts. Our copywriters write content directly for our client’s websites, provide SEO editing for your copy, and create articles that engage and rank.

Again, having in-house copy capabilities ensures we’re all working in a team rather than in silos, and this greatly benefits the effectiveness of our SEO campaigns.

The senior team at Searchworthy has over 25 years of experience promoting services through SEO and running successful businesses.

For startups and entrepreneurs, we share our experience in SEO for business development and how you can go from zero to hero.

For more established businesses, we can discuss how SEO can positively affect your business, not just your rankings.

Full Service SEO FAQs

What do I get for my money?

You get what your site needs to rank. As we’ve previously mentioned, there should never be a one-size-fits-all approach with SEO, so what we deliver will be based on:

  • Your objectives and desired outcomes
  • Your current SEO position
  • The quality of your website build
  • Content that is already on your site
  • Your budget

How much should I budget for SEO?

This mainly depends on what you want to get out of it and how long you want it to take.

A larger monthly budget means more can be done each month; a smaller budget means that the same work can be done but over a longer period.

You also have to consider what a new client is worth to your business – if it’s a one-off, low-cost purchase, your budget might be lower than a business for whom a new client is worth £1000s.

How long does it take?

It’s widely agreed that you need to give an SEO campaign at least three months to see any progress in an SEO campaign.

We recommend a rolling three-month approach for SEO campaigns, with a plan at the start, a review at the end and then a refinement for the next three-months.

Timings also depend a lot on where your site currently is. If it’s a brand new site, SEO will take longer to show results than a more established site.

Am I tied into a contract?

No, we don’t offer long-term contracts. Our work is based on a rolling monthly scope, and you can cancel at any time by giving us one calendar month’s notice.

We advise our clients to be wary of six—to twelve-month lock-in contracts, as SEO agencies often use this aggressive sales technique.

Do you guarantee results?

No SEO agency should promise you guarantees of page-one placements for your keywords.

SEO is subject to lots of external factors, such as:

  • Google Alorythm changes
  • Competitor variations and competitor SEO
  • Search trends
  • Seasonal variance

We’re just being honest and upfront about this as we see lots of SEO agencies offering empty promises.

Do you do everything in-house?

100% in-house from our own staff in our own office building. We are not a virtual team, we don’t use freelancers, and we certainly don’t do off-shore work (it infringes GDPR, for one thing).

If we don’t believe we can help you, we will politely explain why and we won’t provide a proposal for our services.

Do you offer a free trial?

No, but we do offer a free shallow-dive website and SEO audit, with an explanation of the findings and suggestions on the next steps and how we can best help you.

We do this for all new business enquiries so you can get a feel for how we work, what we have to say and how we can help.

Can I sign-up online?

No, we need to have a conversation first about your objectives and your site.

The first step in this process is our free site and keyword audit, so we suggest you get started with that.

My site isn’t WordPress, can you help?

We only provide SEO services for WordPress sites, so if your site is WIX, Squarespace or Joomla, for example, we can’t help you with SEO sorry.

If you do want to move your site to WordPress, we can provide a proposal for recreating your current site in WP or building you a new one.
